Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of exceedingly bad weather, BRC will work with the host site to determine if the event can be held on the regularly scheduled day and time. If the event cannot continue on its original schedule (e.g. due to a state of emergency), every effort will be made to reschedule the event as soon as possible. Updates will be provided via email and posted to the event webpage on RobotEvents.com.
Please note : teams are not eligible for a refund in the case that a team is unable to attend because their school system closes but the event is held as scheduled.
Full refunds will be issued if a team notifies the event partner by email two weeks prior to the event (by 12/30). This is to ensure there is enough time to contact teams from the waitlist to fill the position. However, if teams do need to cancel at the last moment due to circumstances such as local weather or school quarantine, please just send us an email and we will try to offer a full or partial refund.
Refund Policy
Refunds must be requested by December 30, 2022 and $5 will be subtracted from the refund to cover RECF administration costs.
Due to the nature of costs associated with hosting events, the BRC is unable to offer refunds to teams that cancel their registration after December 30, 2022. However, please let us know if you are unable to attend so that we can better plan for the event.
Although the BRC has never canceled an event before, if, due to unforeseen circumstances, the event partner must cancel the scheduled event, the event will be rescheduled as soon as possible.
Please note :
If teams do need to cancel at the last moment due to circumstances such as local weather or school quarantine, please just send us an email and we will try to offer a full or partial refund
