General Info

 

  • Please read these Important Instructions for teams and send this to everyone on the team including parents

  • Please Sign Up for SMS (due Jan 26th) - required for queuing at the tournament

  • We will be requiring all teams planning to submit engineering notebooks, please do so online. The hard deadline for submission is Thursday, Jan 26th

  • All student team members have to fill out consent forms  and signed by parents/legal guardian (either upload it to robotevents or bring it on site)

  • Please Sign Up for volunteering if possible

  • We have made arrangements for Pizza delivery for lunch. You have to Preorder Pizza by Saturday, Jan 28th at 10AM by filling out this form. We will be accepting cash payments and they have to be made when you checkin in at the AM on Sun, Jan 29

  • We have a number of VEX parts available for purchase,  at the same price as in vexrobotics.com+tax (brain, kits, batteries, motors). We have some almost brand new parts available as well for a discount (no shipping cost). You can inquire about purchasing these at the lobby or email [email protected] to reserve them in advance. Here is a parts list

We invite your teams to participate in the first Northern California VRC Spin Up Silicon Valley Tournament.

Please note: all events will receive state championship award bids based on the REC Foundation Qualifying Criteria. As such, this event must meet all requirements for a Qualifying Event to receive bids to the state championship released in July 2022.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Bad weather should not affect this event. In case of a cancellation, the event partner will contact you as early as possible. Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

Teams who have registered but have not paid or submitted a PO 6-weeks prior to the event will be removed from the event unless special arrangement has been made with the Event Partner.

If the event is cancelled, a full event registration (minus $5) refund will be given to all paid teams. Teams are responsible for their own transportation and hotel costs.

Please follow all personal safety and health guidelines by the county. Mask is not mandatory but advice you to wear it.
