  • Please read these Important Instructions for teams and forward this to everyone on the team
  • Please Sign Up for SMS (due Jan 12th) - required for queuing at the tournament
  • All student team members have to fill out consent forms  and signed by parents/legal guardian (either upload it to robotevents or bring it on site)
  • Please Sign Up for volunteering if possible
  • We have made arrangements for Pizza delivery for lunch. You have to Preorder Pizza by Saturday, Jan 14th at 10AM by filling out this form. We will be accepting cash payments and they have to be made when you checkin in at the AM on Sun, Jan 15

We invite your teams to participate in the first Northern California VRC Spin Up Silicon Valley Tournament #2. This tournament is only for rookie teams that have all team members are in their first year of competing in VRC events. This will be a great opportunity for first year teams to compete in an event and qualify for the next level tournaments.

Looking forward to seeing your teams at the tournament.

Please note: all events will receive state championship award bids based on the REC Foundation Qualifying Criteria. As such, this event must meet all requirements for a Qualifying Event to receive bids to the state championship released in July 2022.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Bad weather should not affect this event. In case of a cancellation, the event partner will contact you as early as possible. Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund Policy

Teams who have registered but have not paid or submitted a PO 6-weeks prior to the event will be removed from the event unless special arrangement has been made with the Event Partner.

If the event is cancelled, a full event registration (minus $5) refund will be given to all paid teams. Teams are responsible for their own transportation and hotel costs.

Health and Safety Policies

We want to highlight some important updates about the COVID precautions. Due to the rise in Omicron variants, we will be implementing the following precautions for all the upcoming events. These requirements are based on health guidelines highly recommended by the Santa Clara County where the event is taking place.

  • All participants and guests MUST be fully vaccinated for COVID (2 doses of Moderna, 2 doses of Pfizer, or 1 dose of J&J) 

  • We also strongly recommend taking a booster shot (although we won't be enforcing it) prior to coming to the event.

  • Official proof of vaccination with your id must be shown to attend the event

  • Negative COVID test result will NOT be an acceptable option, although based on local conditions we may require this.

  • Masks must be worn at all times inside the facility

  • No food or drinks can be consumed inside the event facility
