General Info

Join us for an evening of fun doing Robot Skills runs in the SWAMP!  The event is very casual with no set schedule other than our field will be available to run your skills 4pm  to 7pm.  We will have our raised field open for team's skills runs, up to 3 driver and 3 programming.  

If the Event gathers 16 teams, the Robot Skills Champions will Qualify to state. 

We ask to have your robot ready to pass and go directly to inspections as soon as you arrive. 

This may not qualifying event, however each team's skills score will be uploaded to the REC 2022-23 Spin Up Skills Standings database.

We ask that teams that attend to please help with field setup  and cleanup your area before you leave is appreciated.

  • All attendees must follow the REC Foundation Code of Conduct.

  • Extension cords are needed to receive power for your team's needs, power will be available close by.

  • Students also must have safety glasses on while competing and if cutting or sawing their robots at any time.

  • If you are cutting/filing you must make sure there is no one in your area. Safety is your responsibility. 

  • Each robot will have half of a 6ft table for your pit area.

This is a separate event from the Green Valley Qualifier.

Agenda

Doors will open at 3:00pm. Come to the back of school and enter our Swamp through the Robotics Lab Bay door.

Inspections are to be completed as soon as you arrive.

Skills Fields will be available at 4pm  to start skill runs and will remain open till 7pm.  Any team in line by 7 pm will be allowed one last run.

Each team is allow a maxium of 3 Driver Skills Runs and 3 Programming Skills Runs.   

Teams my leave as soon as all their runs are done, but all are welcome to stay and hang out.

This is an indoor event.   While emergency weather conditions are not expected,  reasonable effort will be made to inform teams of any rescheduling or cancellations  due to emergency/bad weather.  Please contact Andy Agan (Aganja@nv.ccsd.net) if weather is a concern and please monitor the event status on Robot Events.com Cancellations will be posted there.
