General Info
Framingham Robotics Clubs are delighted to be hosting this Tipping Point invitational tournament. This skills only will not qualify teams to Southern New England Regional Championships but establish World Skills Rankings that are used to advance teams to Championships. Our event being held at Walsh Middle School, 301 Brook Street, Framingham, Massachusetts, 01701
The event has been rescheduled to January 29th with make up date of February 12th.
This Skills-Only is by invitation only with priority given to high school teams in the Southern New England region that have few opportunities to register to events. To be considered for this event, add your team to the waitlist, and contact the EP and the RECF Team Engagement Manager.
Our event will be held in a single level of the main wing with all spaces interconnected with dedicated hallways. Skills will be in Large Gym and Cafeteria Teams will be directed there upon arrival. Teams will be scheduled a half hour block to get setup, inspected, practice and do their skills runs.
Ample parking is available at Walsh Middle School. Teams and those with limited mobility should use the driveway circle to unload. Handicap spots are in the small parking area alongside the building.
No lunch will be served, nor will concession stand be available due to Covid protocols.
Teams will be limited to three students and one adult supervisior.
No spectators.

Preliminary Agenda
8:00 am - Venue opens to Event Volunteers
9:30 am - 2pm - Teams scheduled in half hour blocks
During 1/2 block team will be checked in, inspected, have field to practice and when ready do skills runs - three programming, and three driver skills.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
If venue is closed due to bad weather or any situation outside our immediate control and the event can not be rescheduled, refunds, minus event costs, will be issued within two months of event date.
Makeup date for this event has been scheduled for January 22nd.
Refund Policy
No refunds will be made after Registration closes January 6, 2022 5pm unless the event has been cancelled and can not be made up on the designated makeup date of January 22, 2022.
Teams with unpaid balances on RobotEvents.com will be placed on the waitlist one week prior to event, unless they have made payment arrangements with the Event Partner.
Refunds will be issued within two months after event date.

Health Advisory
As of Nov 13, 2021 the City of Framingham and Framingham Public Schools require all 5 years old and above to wear masks inside municipal buildings and schools regardless of vacination status.
We will be updating this page to reflect current health guiance from Department of Health and School Administration.
Please make sure to check this page regularly during the two weeks prior to the event.
As of January 11, all extra-curricular activities are suspended until January 21st. Resumption of activities is expected January 24th.
Webcast
We will attempt to Webcast all four fields from this event on two streams. One stream will be from Cafeteria with side by side views of both Skills fields in that location, and similarly another stream from Gym with both fields side by side.
This is our first attempt at dual streams! So may or may not work!

Judging Format
In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges
Electronic Engineering Notebook Submissions: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the Event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted electronically for evaluation, with a submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
Specifics regarding electronic notebook submissions will provided in team update prior to event.
