Health and Safety Policies

As of February 24, 2022

In order to allow for safe COVID procedures, we ask that you all read the following. This is to provide all students who worked hard a chance to attend the event and experience VEX Robotics Competition.

COVID Safety:

To ensure everyone's safety, we ask that all attendees keep their masks on at all times. We will try to designate a dining area for teams.

  • Face coverings must snugly cover your nose and mouth.
  • Face coverings must not be a bandana, loose mesh, or a plastic face shield alone.
  • Event staff reserves the right to ask any attendee to replace a mask deemed insufficient with an event-provided mask.
  • Given the location of the event, eating will be limited to the cafeteria located on the first floor. Food and drink is prohibited in the team pits and atrium.
  • All attendees will be required to fill out a contact tracing form. Registered and paid teams will receive an email with instructions on how to register team members. Upon arrival at the event, each registered team member will be checked in and given a wristband, which must be worn for the duration of the event.
  • Spectators will be reserved to the common areas and cafeteria. Spectators may not enter the pits, competition fields, and restricted areas.

NOTE: We will be strictly enforcing COVID-19 safety policies. We will not be providing warnings to teams who choose to disregard COVID 19 safety policies. Volunteers and Event Staff reserve the right to remove any organization from the event. If members of a team are seen disregarding COVID 19 policy, we reserve the right to remove the organization from the event.

The cafeteria will be the only allowed area for team members to eat lunch.

All attendees will be subject to a temperature check prior to entering the competition.

We ask that all attendees and coaches please follow all rules and regulations to ensure that this will be a safe event for the students!

Notebooks will be submitted at the competition site. Due to limitations, we will not be accepting external hard drives or any storage devices. We ask that all teams bring a physical notebook. If this is not possible, please reach out to the Event Partners at least one week before the event. We will try to accommodate everyone to the best of our abilities.
