The Blakefield Robotics Challenge is back! Join us at Loyola Blakefield, 500 Chestnut Avenue, Towson, MD 21204 for the return of a great robotics event for both Middle and High School robotics teams.

Doors will open at 7:30AM with registration and inspection beginning at 8:00 AM. Teams not inspected by 8:30AM may not be added to the event so please plan to arrive early enough to allow set up time.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

*We will open skills at 8:00 AM and keep it open through lunch to close at 1:00 PM

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, Loyola Blakefield will post delay, cancelation, and/or postponement information on its website at www.loyolablakefield.org. 

 

Refund and Payment Policies

Refunds for registered teams will only be provided to teams that cancel before November 24th. Refund wil be 75% of the entry fee.

In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather, the refund will be 75% of the registration fee. 

Health and Safety Policies

Loyola Blakefield requires all students, staff, volunteers, and spectators to wear masks when indoors.  If you are not feeling well, please do not attend the tournament, in an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Travel Info

Loyola Blakefield is located at 500 Chestnut Avenue in Towson, Maryland just off Charles Street and Baltimore Beltway/I-695 Interstate Exit 25 South. 

The tournament will be held in the Bunting Dining Hall in Knott Hall, the large building with the clock tower as you enter the main entrance. Teams may drop equipment and unload in the main circle and then proceed through the campus to the rear parking lots behind Sheridan Hall for parking.

Judging Format

We will following in-person judging of teams and notebooks as described below.

  •  In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
