General Info
We’re excited to again provide opportunity for Northwest Indiana teams for some friendly and fast, Friday night competition.
Hosted by Portage Robotics, The Porta-Botz!, the league will occur on five Friday nights. The first four nights will be smaller qualifiers. The final evening will culminate in the Championship. The league is limited to 36 robotic teams. Teams will each have 2 matches on three of the four Qualifying nights. Skills runs will talke place each evening.
Championship Alliance Selection will take place at the conclusion for the last qualifier. Competition will be webcast to the pits and the public. Any cancellations will be rescheduled for another weeknight.
Bring and extension cord and surge protector for charging your batteries.
Pizza orders and drinks will be made availble, or bring your own food.
Masks are required in Portage High School. Hand sanitizer supplied. Please, stay home if you have symptoms.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather, every effort will be made to reschedule on a different week night.
Coaches will be notified by phone call and email should any change occur.
Refund and Payment Policies
If unable to reschedule, Refunds will be within one month if cancelled by Event Partner. Team cancellations will be handled on a per situation basis and may be reduced based on competition expenses.
Health and Safety Policies
- Coaches, competitors, spectators and volunteers are permitted in Competion room ONLY at the time of their team's match.
- Head Coaches will complete online Team Health Survey before entering. (link forthcoming)
- Temperatures of each entrant may be taken just outside the main entry depending on the fluidity of the COVID environment.
- Mask are required in Portage High School, per Board policy.
- Hand Sanitation Stations will be found throughout the tournament and pit areas.
- Hands must sanitized immediately after building entry and entering and leaving pits.
- Fist and elbow bumps are encouraged after matches.
- Pizza and Pop & Water bottles are available. Brink a snack. Clean up after yourself.
- Teams are encouraged to socially distance.
- Teams must honor staging and alliance zone markings.
- If needed, teams must signal for a referee post-match; They may not approach the scorer table or Referees.
- Teams will be encouraged to step outdoors for masks breaks.
- Electronic notebooks are accepted and must be submitted via labeled thumb drive, as one pdf. file.
- Team interviews will be conducted in large, open-space environment, with masks, socially distanced.
- The Tournament will be live-streamed for spectators and parents. (link forthcoming)
- Tournament will be rescheduled or cancelled as dictated by health agencies and PTS.
- Additional preventative measures will be implemented as required.

Judging Format
In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit at check-in.
Electronic Engineering Notebooks are accepted via a thrumbdrive with the teams name visible on the device. These must also be turned in at check in.
Team interviews will be conducted in-person, in a large open space, with masks on. Teams will be notified and coordinate a time with the judging team. Judges will also walk the pits and observe matches unnanounced to assess teams.
