  • Competition Arena located in PHS West Gymnasium.
  • Team Pits located in adjacent PHS West Cafeteria
  • Facility is ADA accessible

Interviews will be conducted with competitors judges and competitors wearing masks and socially distanced in large open environment.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of Cancelation, all team head coaches will be notified by phone call and email at the earliest possible time.

Refund and Payment Policies

If unable to reschedule and the event is cancelled due to poor weather or COVID, refunds will be issues within one month if cancelled by Event Partner, less the $5 REC fee. 

Requested cancellations/refunds intiated by registered teams will be handled on a per situation basis and may be reduced based on competition expenses. 

Health and Safety Policies

The event will operate in accordance with local health department guidelines at the time of the event. 

Teams will be notified of all protocols in place as the tournament nears. 

COVID Precautions:

  • Masks are recommended.
  • If anyone is sick, they should not attend...coaches, competitors, spectators
  • Hand Sanitation Stations will be spread throughout the tournament areas.
  • Clearly marked traffic patterns will be established and adhered to.
  • A Sanitation Crew will be on hand to sanitize populated areas.
  • Pre-Ordered Pizzas forms will be available.  Most concesion item are prepackaged.
  • Team Pits will be socially distanced and have individual charging stations.
  • Teams must honor staging and alliance zone markings.
  • If needed, teams must signal for a referee post-match; They may not approach the scorer table or Referees.
  • Electronic notebooks must be submitted via labeled thumb drive, as one pdf. file.
  • Team interviews will be conducted in large, open-space environment.
  • The Tournament will be live-streamed for spectators and parents. (link forthcoming)
  • Tournament will be rescheduled or cancelled as dictated by health agencies and PTS.
  • Additional preventative measures will be implemented as required.

Drive 7.5 miles East Portage High School.

 

From the East:

US 30 West to IN 49 North @ Valparaiso.

Drive 6 miles West to Portage High School

 

Several restaurants and shopping stores are located right near Portage High School.
