General Info

This is the 4th annual Middle School VEX NorCal Signature Event.  Usually we host this event at Google. However, due to COVID related restrictions at Google we are hosting it at the India Community Center. We would love your participation!

We strive to conduct the event in a safe manner. Please ensure you have read the Health and Safety Policies, for your own safety and others at the event.

Here is the document outlining the event logistics for the middle school event.

There is no pre-qualification to register a middle school team for the NorCal VEX Tipping Point Middle School Signature Event. If anyone interested in joining the tournament please send the event partners an email and we will add you to the event. We have 5 spots remaining in this event.

If you are a California team and you are unable to register, please add your team to the waitlist. We will be reviewing the waitlist closer to the deadline date.

Since this is an REC Foundation Signature Event, we are required to have a certain number of teams registered from outside of California. For those coming from out of state, please let us know if you need any financial assistance - we may waive the registration fee based on your financial situation. Please contact the event partner first for more information.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Bad weather should not affect this event. In case of a cancellation, the event partner will contact you as early as possible. Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.

Refund and Payment Policies

Refunds may be issued if there are teams on the waiting list that can fill your spot, and if you let us know at least three weeks prior to the event.

Health and Safety Policies

We want to highlight some important updates about the COVID precautions. Due to the rise in Omicron variant, we will be implementing the following precautions. These requirements are based on health guidelines highly recommended by the Santa Clara County where the event is taking place.

  • All participants and guests MUST be fully vaccinated for COVID (2 doses of Moderna, 2 doses of Pfizer, or 1 dose of J&J) 

  • We also strongly recommend taking a booster shot (although we won't be enforcing it) prior to coming to the event.

  • Official proof of vaccination with your id must be shown to attend the event

  • Negative COVID test result will NOT be an acceptable option, although based on local conditions we may require this.

  • Masks must be worn at all times inside the facility

  • No food or drinks can be consumed inside the event facility

If you are unable to meet these above requirements and would like to cancel the registration, we will refund the amount (minus the RECF fees) prior to Jan 8th
