General Info

Clash in the Canyon will be an in-person event held in the Paul Family Athletic Center Gym.  There will be Robot Skills and on-site judging (guidelines TBD).

Safety is a primary concern in VEX robotics and this event will meet or exceed all COVID safety protocols.  Requirements for attending this event are:

  • A team is defined as a maximum of 4 students and 1 mentor.  Capacity is 24 teams.  This is to meet occupancy limitations and ensure the ability for social distancing.
  • All teams (students and mentors) will need to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72hrs of the event.
  • No spectators will be allowed. (this may be reevaluated as the event nears)
  • Lunch is NOT provided.  You may bring your own lunch and each team will be given an outdoor picnic table.

On-site parking is free. Convenient Drop off available.
 

LATE Arrivals: Teams must be checked in 45 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event. 
 

Team Payment: Teams must be paid two weeks prior to the event. Teams not paid at this time may be dropped at the event partner's discretion to allow teams in from the wait list.

In the case of bad weather conditions, COVID restriction changes or possible cancellations, please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates about the event status will be posted as needed.  Please make sure your team contact information is up to date in RobotEvents.com in the event we need to contact your team. 

Refund Policy

Event payments are expected when you register for this event and must be completed a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the event date.  Unpaid teams will be removed from the event, allowing space for teams on the wait list.  Due to the financial commitment on the part of the event venue, no refunds will be possible. Thank you for your understanding. It is essential that all teams check in before 8:00 am.  Please contact Lance Rush (lance.argano-rush@viewpoint.org) regarding any questions or concerns.
