Thank you for your interest in our Madison County Schools VRC Tournament!

At this time, this event will be a masks recommended event. If changes are made to this, coaches will be notified immediately.

The main tournament will take place Saturday along with awards Saturday afternoon. Please be flexible as our agenda is tentative and subject to change. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please email

Concessions: Concessions will be available for purchase at the event.

Consent Forms: All participants must have a Participant Release Form on file. It is the responsibility of the Team’s Primary Contact to make sure this occurs. A link to the instructions on how to submit a Participant Release Form is found HERE.

Digital Notebook: A digital Engineering Notebook must be submitted to qualify for the Excellence Award and Design Award. Submit a link to your notebook to by 11:59 pm on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 if you want it considered for judging. The notebook is only shared with event staff, including the Event Partner, Judge Advisor, Judges, and may include the REC Foundation RSM. Details on this process are given in the Judge Guide Addendum.

Inspection: Inspection is scheduled first thing in the morning. All teams must pass inspection to be allowed to compete in either skills or qualification matches. Please be prepared and ensure that your robot will pass inspection BEFORE the competition by reviewing the INSPECTION CHECKLIST.

Interviews: Teams will be interviewed virtually through Microsoft Teams on Tuesday, January 25 from 4 - 7 pm or Wednesday, January 26 from 4 - 6:30 pm. The coach or another adult must be present during the entirety of the interview, so please don't sign teams up at the same time unless you will have another adult with the other team. Due to the financial commitment on the part of the event partner, no refunds will be possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Health and Safety Policies

All approved events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices. Event Partners should continually assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary. 

Due to the evolving nature of COVID-19, safety precautions may be updated as the event date approaches.
