General Info

VEX Robotics High School teams are welcome to sign up for this event.  There will be a separate tournament for Middle School Teams in the same venue at the same time. Both will be competing to gain state tournament berths at their respective levels.

Tentative Schedule/Agenda: 

7:30 AM: Early Bird Check in/inspection; Practice fields open
8:00 AM: Check in/Inspections begin
8:30 AM: All teams need to be checked in or have been in contact with the tournament coordinator in order to compete. 
9:00 AM: Check in/Inspections close
9:00 AM: Team Meeting
9:20 AM: Opening Ceremony
9:30 AM: Qualification rounds begin; Skills Field opens
3:00 PM: End qualifications; Skills Field closes when final qualification match ends
3:15 PM: Alliance Selection for elimination rounds
3:45 PM: Elimination rounds begin
5:00 PM: Closing and Awards Ceremony

Please note that we are able to provide one hard copy of the qualification round match-ups to each team. The qualification round schedule is continuously running in the pit area.

All Volunteers will be managed through the "Kimball Area Schools Super Mega Tournament"   You will find the volunteer choices for High School, Middle School and the Vex IQ challege on this page.

On this screen you are able to see volunteer role descriptions by selecting a role in the Role Resources Choose a Role drop down box. 

Click on the blue Register to Volunteer box and select the roles you are interested in and select the time you are available to volunteer.

*Note most shifts are all day commitments. 

*Shifts  starting as early as 7am and ending as late as 6pm. 

Watch your email for role and shift assignments.


We provide a t-shirt to each volunteer to wear that day and we provide food, snacks and drinks for volunteers to enjoy.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

The event won't be canceled for weather. If weather is threatening or hazardous, use your own best judgment as to whether or not you'll travel to the tournament. Put the safety of students, coaches, and spectators first. If the event is cancelled then "Cancelled" will appear in the title of the event on

Refund Policy

No refunds will be given for cancelations. If refund is given for extenuating circumstances, there is a $5 Robot Events registration fee that cannot be refunded.

This location is within 20 minutes of St, Cloud's Crossroads Area Hotel Options. This is going to be the best option for teams that will be staying overnight. Utilize the Holiday Inn located on Hwy 15 in St. Cloud as a reference point.
