General Info

Harvard-Westlake is excited to host the 2021 Harvard-Westlake Challenge Middle School Only event, a VEX Tipping Point Tournament. Although this is a middle school-only event, the tournament will take place at our UPPER SCHOOL CAMPUS on Coldwater Canyon.  On-site parking is free.

The event will be open to 30 middle schools. Winning specific awards at this event will qualify teams to attend the California State Championship. This event will be limited to five teams per organization. Once the event is full, a waiting list will be created for teams who were unable to register. This waiting list will also be available for you to sign up additional teams, but precedence will be given to schools/organizations that are not yet registered. Registration will begin at 8:00 am.

Teams must be checked in 45 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event.

Payment Info

Teams must be paid two weeks prior to the event. Teams not paid at this time may be dropped at the event partner's discretion to allow teams in from the waitlist.

Participation and Consent Form

A completed form for all participants must be turned in during check-in or uploaded to robotevents.com prior to arrival. Team leaders will need to collect the completed forms for all team members attending the event and turn them into the registration desk when checking in.  

COVID Protocols

All participants must show proof of full COVID vaccination (two shots) or proof of a negative COVID test taken within 60 hours of the event.  If you have questions about our COVID entry policy please contact Tripp Reed immediately. 

Masks must be worn at all times during the event, both indoors and outdoors. The only exception will be when you are eating. There will be no eating or drinking allowed in the gymnasium.  

We will be allowing spectators into the venue but they must also show proof of full COVID vaccination (two shots) or proof of a negative COVID test taken within 60 hours of the event.
