General Info
The Red Devil Robotics Club of Freeport High School are proud to host the Freeport Robotics Competition: Vex Tipping Point. This VRC event is a qualifier for the Southern NY State VRC Championship.
Food: Food and drink are allowed in our facility. Pizza, Snacks and Drinks are available for purchase. Please support the FHS class of 2022 by purchasing lunch from them.
Parking: Buses should drop off students and equipment at the main entrance on South Brookside Avenue. Cars and buses should park behind the school and enter by the cafeteria.
Health and Safety guidelines issued by our school will be followed and updated to this site.
No Spectators will be allowed at this event. However we will be launching a live broadcast onlnie. Check out the Webcast Tab for the link.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
In the event of bad weather the Freeport Public School District may decide to cancel/delay/reschedule the event.
The event organizer will notify all team advisors as early as possible via text/email and post the event status on this website.
The raindate will be Sunday February 6, 2022.
Refund Policy
Teams who notify us of their cancelation before January 23, 2022 at midnight will receive a refund. The Freeport High School Robotics Club will issue refunds in the form of checks only. All refunds will be processed after payments are processed and received.
All refunds will be issued not including the RECF fee of $5.00.
Teams who have not paid their registration fee by January 23, 2022 at midnight will be moved to the waiting list.
The team of any person who is asked to leave the event or denied admission to the event for failing to follow our health and safety prototcols related to Covid-19 will not be eligible for a refund of their registration fees.
Health and Safety Policies
This event will follow all school issued, local and state guidelines for health and safety. More information will be posted as soon as it becomes available and updated as we get closer to the day of the event. Registered teams will be notified of any changes.

Anyone entering Freeport High School must abide by the following policies. Anyone found to not adhere to these policies will be asked to leave the premesis or denied entry and no refund will be given for their associated teams registration fees.
Anyone in Freeport High School must wear a mask at all times, keep socially distant from other groups and pass a temperature check upon entering the building.
Each teams 'pit area' will be separated from teams of other schools/groups.
Hand Sanitizing stations will be available for usage throughout the facility.
Update 10/25/21: No Spectators are allowed at the event. Students, staff(advisors) and volunteers are allowed.
Update 1/24/22: No further changes to our Covid-19 Health policy are expected.

Travel Info
Freeport High School is located on the south shore of Nassau County on Long Island. We welcome teams from across the region to join us.
The best way to travel is via car/bus. We are located on South Brookside Avenue between Sunrise Highway(Rt-25) and Merrick Road.
It is possible to take the train. The LIRR train station at Baldwin is 3 blocks away.
Students and equipment should be dropped off in the front of the school. Buses and cars should park in the rear of the building.

Judging Format
We will be conducting In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
