General Info
Kiwibots presents the 2020-21 New Zealand VEX Robotics Competition National Championship Series!
As we adapt to the ever changing pandemic restrictions, we are now running our National Tournaments as a series, with this being the Canterbury arm of the series. VRC Teams from across the country will compete over two days to gain the coveted title of National Champions and to qualify for invitations on the global stage at the World Championships in Dallas, Texas.
Registration Fee
The registration fee for this event is $100 NZD. Please do not pay through RobotEvents as teams will be invoiced through KIWIBOTS directly.
Check-in
The check-in for the event will be held on Friday 19th March from 15:00 (3pm) to 18:00 (6pm). Teams must present at least one team member with the robot to check-in and complete inspection in order to be able to compete at the event. Teams who do not check in on the Friday 19th March will not be included in qualification matches on Saturday 20th March.
**Times shown are subject to changes as the schedule is still being finalised. Note that this event is contingent to Alert Level 1 or 2 being in place. If the region is as Level 3 or higher, the event will be cancelled. Please take this into consideration for booking of any services such as flights, accommodation etc.
Design Notebooks
Design notebooks need to be submitted before the start of the tournament 9am Saturday 10th March. For ease, we will be collecting Design Notebooks at the check-in on Friday 19th.
If you have been completing a Digital Notebook for this season, this must be printed out and submitted in hard copy to be considered for the Design Award (and Excellence Awards). Please see the Judging Guide and Judging Addendum released by RECF if you have any concerns.
