General Info
Welcome to the 2021 Colorado VRC High School State Championship!
Teams must qualify to compete in the State Championship. This Championship is for Colorado VRC High School Teams that have qualified for State either through qualifying events and/or from the World Skills Standings, according to the 2020-2021 Qualifying Criteria. Teams may continue to attend qualifying events and/or post Skills Challenge scores to the World Skills Standings up until two weeks before the date of the State Championship.
You may bring in food and beverages. Other snacks and drinks will not be available due to COVID-19 pandemic and local guidelines.
The Colorado High School State Championship has been granted 3 VRC World Championship spots:
Excellence Award = 1 spot
Tournament Champions = 2 spots
If a team double-qualifies for a World Championship spot, the state’s next highest-ranking team from the World Skills Standings up to and including the State Championship receives the invitation. World Championship invitations from the World Skills Standings are issued by email after the results of the State Championship have been posted at robotevents.com, and will not be announced at the State Championship.
World Championship qualifying awards and invitations are issued to teams whether or not the teams have expressed an intention to attend the event. Unaccepted World Championship invitations are not offered or transferred to other teams.
At this time we are planning on a live in-person tournament. Depending on the course of the COVID-19 pandemic and local guidelines, the event format may change. This may include modifying event capacity or converting the event to a remote format. Remote formats may require teams to have access to their own fields/game sets. If changes to the event occur that are out of the control of the event hosts, and your team isn't able to comply with new event requirements, your registration fee will be refunded according to the stated Refund Policy. Please consider these caveats before registering for the event.
