Welcome to the MCCC/PDS VIQC-1 Live Remaote Skills "Rise Above" Tournament
The reponse during 2020 and into 2021 to the SARS-CoV-2 virus have lead to several innovations to continue VEX competitions. One of those innovations is the use of virtual world both live and pre-recorded. We have been running events since the 2011-2012 Gateway season and are looking forward to adding remote events to our expertise. This is the first of two live remote skills only for the VIQC "2020-2021 Rise Above" srason.
Participation in this event requires you to have access to a complete field and game pieces.
Participation in this event requires the ability video the complete field during the entire competition.
Participation in this event requires a student built robot made from legal VIQC parts.
A discord room is being set up for the competition and links will be sent out prior to tournament.
The robot will be inspected virtually on Thursday Feb 18, 2021.
The skills runs will take place Sunday Feb 21, 2021.
There will be no judging.
Teams will be scheduled in 5 minute blaoks with time in between skill runs. The amount of time is dependent on the number of teams. This schedule wil be visible in the discord room and will be made between the Thursday Check-in and the Sunday Kick-off.
Sunday Kickoff begins at 1:00 p.m.
See you soon.
Have a VEXellent day
