Welcome to Dublin Robotics Club's Tournament - Change Up. We are excited to bring together some of Northern California's finest teams and battle for a chance to qualify to the State Championships. If this event is full, please place yourself on the waitlist.
As we are in the midst of the pandemic, following precautions will be implemented to minimize the risk.
1) It is mandatory to wear face mask and face shield to participate in this Tournament.
2) Most of the activities of the Tournament will be conducted outdoors (Team Check-in, Pit area, Inspection, Driver Meeting etc). No spectators and parents are allowed to visit the venue.
3) Actual matches will be conducted indoors. At any point not more than 8 to 10 people will be present in the room.

5) Please bring your own face mask and face shield.
6) 2 students per team will be allowed in the indoor/outdoor facility during the Tournament.
7) All the Teams registered in the tournament will be divided into two divisions. First divsion will play matches in the morning and second division will play matches in the afternoon. Match list will be generated for each division seperately. Based on the results of both division, teams will then be ranked. Top 8 ranking teams will particpate in the finals.
8) Teams will have Zoom design interview with the judges. Time slots selection Google sheets will be sent two days before the event for Judging.
9) Teams can choose their preferred timeslot based on first come, first reserve basis for zoom interview. You need to be flexible and by registering, you understand that you may have to pick a time slot sometime between 8am and 5pm.
10) For judging, Morning Division teams can choose afternoon Zoom slot and Afternoon Division teams can choose morning Zoom slot.
11) Please submit your Electronic/ Digital/ Engineering Notebook at least two days before the event date to be considered for Judged Awards. You can submit digital Engineering Notebook via email dublinroboticsclub@gmail.com. 13) Winning teams can pick their awards from DRC on the following day.
14) Time to pick up the award will be communicated to the team.
Teams that have not paid two days before the event date may be dropped at the event partner's discretion to allow teams from the waitlist.
This tournament is sure to be a fast-paced and exciting event. All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared.
1. Review the rules and run through the inspection checklist about a week before the competition so that there is ample time for adjustments. Please make sure to keep this in mind at all times.
2. Check the official VEX forums for rule updates and changes.
3. Carefully read all of the information contained in the tournament posting on RobotEvents.com
4. Pack for the event. Here are a few items that you don't want to forget.

7. Prep for your interview with the judges. Check the awards tab to see what awards will be given during the tournament.
8. Remember that safety comes first, please don't bring tools that pose a safety risk to your team, or others nearby.
9. Understand how the game will be played. VEX participants are more than welcome to watch the referee training videos before they attend a tournament. The referee training videos can be found at vexrobotics.com
10. Read through the Robot troubleshooting guide.
A completed form for all participants must be uploaded on robotevents.com prior to the event. No paper forms will be accepted. It is the responsibility of the coach/mentor to ensure this happens.
Please note: no spectators or parents are allowed at the event site. Only the team's coach the student team members who are participating.
Event payments are expected when you register for this event and must be completed (showing PAID in the system) a minimum of 2 days prior to the event date. Unpaid teams will be removed from the event, allowing space for teams on the waitlist. Refunds may be made if there is a cancellation by the organizer due to COVID-19 less any non-refundable event costs and the $5 RobotEvents fee; all refunds are at the discretion of the Event Partner. The Event Partner may convert this event to a Remote Skills-Only event if local health conditions warrant. If the Event Partner makes this decision, teams are not eligible for a refund and all teams accept this condition upon registering for this event.
