Due to COVID-19, this event will be played 100% online:
Anyone can join remotely so long as you have a field, a web camera, and a computer with an internet connection.
This VEX EDR Skills Competition will be held entirely through Zoom. Before the event, I will send you the meeting link and password.
This means that you will need to have:
1. A device capable of joining a Zoom meeting with video;
2. A field and game elements to play matches on; and
3. We will be running matches live, and per the Game Manual, the Head Referee will be a certified referee for this Remote Skills Event.
In to be ready for this event, there is not much you will need to do other than build a robot and practice.
Make sure that you can join the Zoom meeting (if you're not sure if your setup is perfect, I will connect with you earlier the week before the event to help with potential tech issues.)
Here are a few things that would be good to verify you have access to on the day of the event:
NOTE: New this year, you will be required to complete a consent release form Online for all participants on robotevents.com
Teams must be paid two weeks prior to the event. Teams not paid at this time may be dropped at the event partner's discretion to allow teams in from the waitlist. Refunds are not typically offered, but if you have a special case, please just let us know and we will see what we can do.

Saturday 2/13 - Inspection offered
3:00 - 6:00 pm - Teams are encouraged to get their robots inspected the day before the event.
Sunday 2/14 - Inspection & Competition
9:00 am - 4:00 pm - Teams will be emailed a sign up sheet and be allowed to sign up for specific inspection and run times.

In the case of conditions that may require in an event cancellation, please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates about the event status will be posted as needed. Event Partners will also make every effort to reach teams directly in case of an emergency. Teams should make sure their contact information in Robotevents.com is up to date and includes both school and non-school phone numbers.
All refund requests will be reviewed if the request is made no later than 1 week prior to the event. Cancelations within 1 week of the event will not be refunded. All refunds are at the discretion of the Event Partner and will be less the $5 RobotEvents processing fee.
