Please check https://18x18az.org/CitC for all the latest info about this and other Clash in the Cloud events.
Clash in the Cloud is a series of Remote Skills‑Only Events hosted by 18x18az.
Teams must have their own field and webcam setup to participate, as outlined in the Game Manual Appendix B, pages vii–viii, rules <RSE1> through <RSE10>. Remember that your match timer must be on video and visible to the Head Referee as you do your Skills matches.
Skills matches will be facilitated through 18x18az Connect and 18x18az Event Console, a unique solution designed to emulate the in-person experience with on‑demand queuing, direct scoresheet verification, and more. An adult contact for the team must be present in the meeting room at all times while the team is connected.
Please review our Remote Skills Checklist for your specific control system (V5 or Cortex) to ensure you have everything you need to participate.
20% of this event's capacity is reserved for Arizona teams. In the event that a sufficient number of Arizona teams do not register, the event will be filled from the waitlist. As this is a blended event, middle‑school and high‑school teams are all welcome to register, with no priority given to either age group.
No judging will take place in this event.
Consent forms must be submitted electronically for all students and adults that will be on‑camera or otherwise participating in the event. Users listed as team contacts in Robot Events can verify that all necessary consent forms are submitted from the My Account page.
All Skills matches will be livestreamed to https://twitch.tv/18x18az in compliance with the GDC's Official Q&A ruling.
