TEAM COVID-19 WAIVER
Please see the Documents tab for the Team COVID-19 Monitoring Form and be prepared to complete and submit this for your team upon entry. Print as many copies as you need and complete this form the morning of the event prior to your arrival.

If you have not done so already, please make every effort to make sure your registration fees are paid prior to this event. If you have paid already, thank you! If you have selected to pay by PO from your school, please make sure that you have submitted your invoices to your treasurer's office so that payments are being processed. Please just keep me posted if you are still in the process of paying your registration fees.
LUNCH/FOOD: There will be a concession stand available for this event. Please note that due to a vendor contract in the venue, outside food or catering is NOT permitted to be brought in. This is not our rule but rather the rule of the venue and we ask that you please respect this rule when planning your day. You can skip the lines for lunch and pre-order pizzas for your teams!

UPDATE ON SPECTATORS: After recent changes by the governor to the capacity limitations for indoor events, we will be allowing spectators to this event. Spectators will not be permitted in the pit area or on the competition floor, must wear masks at all times, and will be advised and encouraged to sit in the stands appropriately socially distanced from other individuals or groups. This event will also be live-streamed for those who choose to watch from home.
FINE DESIGNS: Event apparel will be for sale throughout the event.
If a team double qualifies for the VEX Robotics World Championships, then the Regional Support Manager will use the Ohio VEX Global Skills list to determine the next qualified team from the appropriate grade level. World Championship invitations from the World Skills Standings are issued by email after the results of the State Championship have been posted at RobotEvents.com, and will not be announced at the State Championship.
World Championship qualifying awards and invitations are issued to teams whether or not the teams have expressed an intention to attend the event. Unaccepted World Championship invitations are not offered or transferred to other teams.
This event is sure to be a fast-paced and exciting event. All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared.
1. Review the rules, the code of conduct, and run through the inspection checklist.
2. Check the Vex Forum for official for rule updates and changes.
3. Carefully read all of the information contained in this tournament posting
4. Review the descriptions and criteria for the awards that are being given during the tournament.
5. Prep for your interviews with the judges. Check the awards tab to see what awards will be given during the tournament.
6. Ensure that you have the latest version of firmware.

Volunteers are an important part of every event and we acknowledge that these events would be impossible without them. We appreciate those volunteers who are willing to give of their time for the benefit of our students! Volunteers help make events run smoothly and play a critical role in every process, from registration to scoring. Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and lunch.

**Please submit this form by Friday, April 9th at 5:00 pm in order to guarantee a volunteer shirt in your requested size due to our deadline with the shirt vendor. Responses after that date are still accepted & appreciated, but volunteer shirt sizes will be limited.
In the event of bad weather, we will make every attempt to contact all coaches by email, phone or text, as well as make announcements through social media of any changes of the event or the event schedule.
We will also put all cancelations on WMRN AM 1490 and FM 95.9
Registration fees minus the $5 REC processing fee per team will be issued if the event is canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions.
All local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices will be in effect for this event.

COVID19 WAIVER FORM - Every team will be required to bring a completed Team COVID-19 Monitoring Form (check the Documents tab). Every participant will be screened for temperature and symptoms prior to entry. No one over 100 degrees will be able to enter.
MASKS - Masks will be required to be worn by all attendees at all times during the event.
PITS - Pit areas will be grouped by organization, there will be 6' between tables in the pits, and only 1 team will be assigned per table. Only 6 team members at the table in the pits, other members will be located in the gymnasium seating. You may swap out members as needed.
ARENA SEATING - There is ample seating available within the coliseum. Teams and spectators will be advised and encouraged to sit appropriately socially distanced from other individuals or groups.
COMPETITION FIELDS - Teams will be called to the field when ready. One way to leave the pit area and one way to return to the pit area. Teams will not be allowed to enter the field to retrieve their robot. Once their match has been scored, they will drive their robot to the side of the field to retrieve it. The only people allowed access to the field and game objects are official event staff.
SKILLS - Only 1 team allowed at the field at a time. Social distancing will be used while in line for skills via floor markings.
