Mount Vernon Energy Field House VRC Change Up Qualifier will take place on Friday, January 15th. This will be the second year for Mount Vernon to host a VRC Event, but the first year at the brand new Energy Field House. This event is open to Middle School and High School teams. The event will showcase 3 fields, 2 fields for the competition with new static free tiles and 1 field for skills/practice. Pizza will be provided to team members according to their pit table at the event. Food Trucks will be available for breakfast and lunch purchases.

7:00am Staff and volunteers arrive
7:30am Team arrival
7:45am Robot inspections and all fields open for practice after inspection-
***2 teams per Field at a time for a max of 10 minutes- please keep socially distanced with 3 or less team members (Other team members should be at the pit table)
8:00am Interviews with Judges begin in your pit area
8:00am Food Trucks available to purchase Breakfast items
8:45am Opening ceremonies
9:00am Qualifying matches begin
Working Lunch break as teams have time to eat- Food Trucks available to purchase food items until 3:00pm
12:30pm Alliance Selection
1:00pm-Tournament Begins
3:15pm-Awards and Closing

You will be notified by e-mail if there is inclement weather or any other emergencies for this event, a full refund will only be given if the event is cancelled.
Covid-19 Risk Mitigation Policies:
Masks: All coaches, participants and volunteers will need to have masks covering their mouth and nose while at the event.
Covid-19 Entry Form: Please print and then fill in this form on the morning of the event and have it available to check in at the door. No one with a temperature over 100 will be permitted to enter.
Pits: With the large size of our venue here will be more than 6' between Pit tables. Only 1 team allowed per table, please observe social distancing between team members as much as possible. Pit interviews will still be conducted at the pit tables while following social distancing guidelines.
Gymnasium Seating: There is limited seating available at the venue. Students should mostly stay at their pit tables when not competing. Only coaches, advisers and essential team staff will be able to enter the facility.
Skills: Only 1 team allowed at the field at a time. Social Distancing guidelines will be expected to be observed.
Match Fields: Max of 3 team members at the match field while competing. Please stay socially distanced while at the on deck table and space appropriately at the Match Fields. Other student team members need to remain at the pit tables to observe the match- please do not gather in front of the match fields.
Refunds will only be issued if the event is cancelled due to weather or other emergency events.
Mount Vernon Energy Field House VRC Change Up Qualifier will be an event with appropriate social distancing and will require all volunteers, students, coaches and attendees to wear face masks. The Mount Vernon Energy Field House will allow for Team Pit Tables to be spreadout to provide maximum social distancing. Students at the fields will be required to maintain appropriate social distancing from other teams. The Knox County Health Department will be consulted to be sure all Health and Safety Policies are appropriately designated at the event per the current Ohio Public Health Advisory System.
