**All approved events and event attendees are required to follow all local, state, federal, or any other government ordinances regarding COVID-19 safety procedures, social distancing, and best hygiene practices. We will continually assess, based on current government guidelines, whether to postpone, cancel, or significantly reduce the number of attendees when necessary.
We’re very excited that you’re considering the GTACS Change Up In-Person Tournament.
INVITATION ONLY: We are restricting this event to northern MI teams to help slow the spread of COVID-19. By registering, your team will be placed on the wait list. The Event Partner will then approve your team to join the event if you are from our region and we have communiated via phone or email.
Small Event Backup Plan: If venue limitations exist at the time of this event, we will break the event into smaller mini-tournaments and still play LIVE. This may include creating 2 seperate events in order to meet the person-venue limitations.
Judging: We will be using the ZOOM Platform for Remote Judging. Notebooks must be submitted electronically by Midnight on Friday, February 4th. Interviews will be schedule via ZOOM. Your team will need to have acess to a web camera on computer, tablet or mobile phone.
Skills: Skills will be available on a scheduled basis.
Tournamnet: We will be playing in a single tournamnet, meaning that your team will interview and do skills in the morning and play in the tournmanet in the afternoon.

**Food will NOT be permitted in the competition space, gym or school.

There are typically no refunds for this event. Please see below for our COVID-19 refund policy.
All team registrations MUST BE PAID within 2 weeks of your team registration date and at least 1 week prior to the event. Failure to meet these payment policies may result in your team being moved to the waitlist.
COVID-19 and weather Refund Policies
If we cancel the event due to COVID-19 or any other reason, we will issue refunds for the event, reschedule the event, or apply the funds to a different event we are running at our discression.
Any refunds will be issued only after payment is received from the REC Foundation. No refunds will include the $5 that is kept by the REC Foundation for credit card processing.
Refunds will not be offered in cases where we do not cancel the event. Please consider potential travel restrictions and weather when signing up and paying for the event.
Please allow the necessary time to have your robot and team (students and mentor) report to their designated time for Division Tournament, Remote Interview and Skills Match.
Weather may be a factor for this event. Allow for extra time.
