General Info

What is different in a League Event?

League events allow teams more compeition! And the chance to improve their robot through the whole competition.

In a typical single day tournament (non-league tournament) all the teams compete in qualification/ranking matches (usually between 6-8 matches for each team in a one day event) immediately followed by the elimination/finals matches (ie the round of 16). The league format allows the qualification portion to include more matches by having it spread out over several sessions.

Teams are allowed to improve their robots between sessions. They are also allowed to miss one of the qualification/ranking sessions.

Depending on how many teams register we anticipate the following for each team.

  • 10/23/19 Qualification Session: 1 practice session, 3-4 qualification matches
  • 12/04/19 Qualification Session: 4  qualification matches
  • 1/18/20 AM Qualification Session: 4-5 qualification matches
  • 1/18/20 PM Elimination/Finals Session: Judging, robot skills followed by the Finals/elimination round.
