Cardinal Classic VRC

The Cardinal Classic VRC will be held on Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, MD.  We're looking forward to having your team compete in the "Tower Takeover" competition!

6:00 pm to 7:30 pm : Early Inspections and Skills Fields Open

(Note that teams are encouraged to come early with your robot.  The pit area will be locked overnight and you'll be ready to go in the morning!  Check-In registration must still be completed on Saturday morning!)

9:00 am to 12:00 pm : Qualification Matches
12:00 pm to 12:30 pm : Lunch
12:30 pm to 1:30 pm : Qualification Matches
1:30 pm to 1:45 pm : Alliance Selection
1:45 pm to 3:00 pm : Eliminations & Awards
3:00 pm : Event clean up

Skills Fields

Skills Fields will be open from 6:00 to 7:30 on Friday and 8:30 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, or until all teams have had an opportunity to compete.

Running on Schedule is Important

Our goal is to have teams compete in at least 6 matches total during qualifications. Matches will run at 1 match every 3.5 minutes.

Volunteer

Volunteers are always our key to a successful competition.  There are many opportunities available for volunteers of all experience levels.  We're happy to train you "on the job!"  To volunteer for this event, please register at our sign-up link coming soon.  Thank you!

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Our event has historically had to deal with bad weather.  Calvert Hall has a private contracting service to quickly remove snow and ice from walkways and parking lots.  Because we are a private school, we will do everything possible to host the event, even if public school policies close school on Friday.  Stay tuned to this website for additional information as the event approaches.

In the event of postponement, we will attempt to hold the event at a later date (TBD - Saturday only).

Refund Policy

Refunds will be considered on a case by case basis but are not guaranteed.  Because this event traditionally has a wait list, we request payment at the earliest possible date.  Unpaid registrations are subject to cancellation.  e-mail chcrobotics@calverthall.com for inquiries.
