The Science Academy STEM Magnet and Supernova Robotics are delighted to host an early season VEX Tower Takeover event and give teams a chance to take home some custom hardware and qualify for the VEX California State Championships. The event will be open to a total of 30 MIDDLE SCHOOL ONLY TEAMS and only 3 teams from each school. If this event is full please place yourself on the wait list.
Last year, Battlebots host Chris Rose served as our opening MC and he is scheduled to launch the event again this year. There will be two (2) raised Competition Fields, one (1) Skills Challenge field, and two (2) full Practice Fields at the event. Both Driving and Programming Skills Challenges will be open during lunch to ensure all teams have an opportunity to compete.
On-site parking is free.
Registration will be at 7:30 am, sharp. Teams that have not checked in 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the qualifying matches will be dropped from the roster so that the match list may be run. Teams running late must contact the event partner prior to this cut off if they do not wish to be dropped.
Teams must be paid two weeks prior to the event. Teams not paid at this time may be dropped at the event partner's discretion to allow teams in from the wait list.
A completed form for all participants must be turned in during check-in or uploaded to robotevents.com prior to arrival. Team leaders will need to collect the completed forms for all team members attending the event and turn them in to the registration desk when checking in.

Our facility is indoors so rain will not impact the event. That said, in the case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations, please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates about the event status will be posted as needed. Please make sure your team contact information is up to date in RobotEvents.com in the event we need to contact your team.
Event payments are expected when you register for this event and must be completed a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the event date. Unpaid teams will be removed from the event, allowing space for teams on the wait list. Due to the financial commitment on the part of the event partner to host the event, no refunds will be possible. Thank you for your understanding.
