 GSMST Vex Tournament: General Information

We at The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology (GSMST) are happy to provide this competition.  Our events are about giving students an opportunity to have fun and to learn.  We expect that all that enter the facility treat one other with respect and courtesy, including all visitors, and especially our volunteers that help make the event happen.

Here are a few addtional items to review:

1. Registration and Inspections will close promptly at 9:30 AM. PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE, LATE TEAMS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED INTO THE COMPETITION. We will make every attempt to have teams run 6 Qualification Matches. To do so we MUST start on time and finish on time (or early).

2,  Make sure to bring extension cords and power plugs to charge batteries, none will be provided.

3.To expedite matches, each team must have been Pre-Checked before the match There will be a Pre-Check table next to the competition fields.Teams will have 2 minutes from the time a match is ready to be called to place their robot on their starting tile to begin the match. If there is no representative from the team in the driver’s stations at the start of the match, the team will be marked as a No-Show for the round.

4.All rules will be strictly enforced.  The Event Planner and Head Referee will have final say over disputes after consulting the rules.

5.Any challenges to match scores should be submitted no more than 1 round after the disputed score. No video replay will be allowed.
