General Info

The North Fond Du Lac VRC League is designed to give teams many opportunities to compete and improve throughout the season. We will compete following the schedule below.

  • Teams that compete in fewer than 60% of the league matches are eligible for alliance selection, but will be ranked below teams that have competed in more than 60% of the league matches.
  • We have some team workspaces available, but try to only bring the items you need for league night to save space.
  • We can always use more volunteers to help with running the league night sessions. Jobs needed include: Check-in/Inspection, Referee, Score Keeper, TM Operator, and Announcer. If you or another coach or a parent is willing, please step up when asked, or better yet, come and offer your service!
  • For this first year of league, we will not be providing concessions.
  • All matches will be run on the field of the North Fond Du Lac Vex Robotics workshop.

The schedule is as follows:

12/11/19
North Fond Du Lac
NFDL Vex Robotics Workshop Wednesday division league play
12/18/19

State Qualifying Spot Assignments

A total of (3) qualifying spots will be assigned to this event: (2) Tournament Champions and (1) Robot Skills Champion

Elimination Brackets for Wisconsin VRC Events:

Up to 24 teams at an event will compete in the Elimination Rounds; all teams at an event are eligible for Alliance Selection, not just the top 24-ranked teams. If there are an odd number of teams, unfortunately the last team will not be able to compete in the Elimination Rounds. Refer to the Documents tab for a PDF of the 16-alliance elimination bracket. If an event has fewer than 16 alliances, the highest-seed alliances receive a bye. The Tournament Manager software automatically calculates the elimination brackets for the number of alliances competing.

Following the Qualifying Criteria, Finals Alliances are 2 teams. Finals matches are determined by the winner of one match. Ties will be replayed until a winner is determined. Event Partners may run elimination brackets in any legal configuration they wish, but are encouraged to follow the standard for the State. Questions on Elimination Brackets may be directed to your REC Foundation Regional Support Manager Bill Ryno by email at: bill_ryno@roboticseducation.org.
