General Info

Welcome to the 2022 North Carolina Blended VRC State Championships

The 2022 North Carolina Blended VRC State Championship is a one day event in Concord NC.  Teams must qualify for the tournament by participating in a regional event by February 26nd.   Teams qualify by winning awards at a local tournament or by invitation based on the highest skills scores posted in North Carolina during the season.

The team coach or teacher listed as the main contact in RobotEvents will be responsible for registering for the State Championship event promptly. They will have a two week window to register to KEEP YOUR STATE SPOT after a qualifying event before their invitation to the North Carolina HS VRC State Championship is lost.

*Qualifying events closer to the State Championship only have 1 week to register for states. 

**The State qualifying Skills score cut off will be two weeks prior to the state championship.  The number of teams coming qualifying from the skills list is based on open spots after all events the the state of North Carolina have finished.  Teams that qualify from skills list will have a short time to registered and pay for the state championship, please plan accordingly. 

Teams that move on to the World Championship Event in Dallas, Texas will be responsible for registering for the World Championship event promptly as they will only have ONE week to register AND pay before their invitation to Worlds is lost! Plan accordingly and plan to win. The teams coach who is officially listed in robotevents as the primary contact receives all team emails, so read the email titles and content carefully.  Ensure your IT does not block emails from robotevents.com and roboticseducation.org   

North Carolina Blended VRC State Championship World Championship Spots Granted is TBD:

If a team double-qualifies for a World Championship spot, the state’s next highest ranking team from the World Skills Standings up to and including the State Championship receives the invitation. World Championship invitations from the World Skills Standings are issued by email after the results of the State Championship have been posted at robotevents.com, and will not be announced at the State Championship.

World Championship qualifying awards and invitations are issued to teams whether or not the teams have expressed an intention to attend the event. Unaccepted World Championship invitations are not offered or transferred to other teams.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

All events are indoors.  Follow your school bad weather policies. 

Refund and Payment Policies

Refunds will be made to teams up to three weeks prior to the event, provided a written request is submitted (via email) to Dave Parisi ([email protected]  Any cancellations inside of the two-week window will not result in a refund.

If the event is rescheduled because of a weather-related event, refunds will be issued to teams that are unable to attend the new date.
