Travel Info

This location is within 20 minutes of St, Cloud's Crossroads Area Hotel Options. This is going to be the best option for teams that will be staying overnight. Utilize the Holiday Inn located on Hwy 15 in St. Cloud as a reference point.

Refund Policy

No refunds will be given for cancelations. If refund is given for extenuating circumstances, there is a $5 Robot Events registration fee that cannot be refunded.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

The event won't be canceled for weather. If weather is threatening or hazardous, use your own best judgment as to whether or not you'll travel to the tournament. Put the safety of students, coaches, and spectators first.

Volunteer

About 100  volunteers will be needed to help run this event.

Please use the following link to sign up as a volunteer-

Judging and Refereeing are the most difficult positions to fill.  Although they sound intimidating there are several resources avaliable to make the job easy.  You do not need to know about robotics or high tech.  If you have the ability to work with students you will be great.

We provide a t-shirt to each volunteer to wear that day and we provide food, snacks and drinks for volunteers to enjoy.

If you have questions please feel free to give me a call

State Qualifying Spot Assignments for Minnesota Events:

       Blended &       Only

     16           3        6
     24           4        7

If 10 or more teams are registered at each level of a blended event (Middle School and High School) the Excellence Award must be offered at each level. The total number of state qualifying spots will increase by one.

State Qualifying Spots are initially assigned based on the capacity of the event. After registration closes, and before the event, spots will be adjusted to reflect the number of teams registered for the event according to the table above. Qualifying Spots are assigned by the REC Foundation. The assignments are calculated based on the number of spots available for State Championship, the number and size of qualfying events in the State, and the historical double-qualification rates for the State. Questions on State Qualifying spot assignments may be directed to your REC Foundation Regional Support Manager Bill Ryno by email at: bill_ryno@roboticseducation.org.
