General Info

Student Waivers

A completed form for all participants must be turned in during check-in or prior to the event via Robotevents.com.  Download the VEX/ REC Foundation Consent & Waiver Form. link text.

This event will take advantage of VEX VIA. Please have students, coaches and fans download VEX VIA (iOS or Droid) prior to the event.

In order to keep our event running on-time, registration will close promptly at 8:30 AM the morning of the event. Teams not registered by 8:30 AM will lose their spot and no refunds will be given. Match Lists will be generated as scheduled and will not be re-run.

If you cannot arrive before close of check-in, please call or text (preferred): 317-501-8914.

An adult sponsor MUST sign-in at check-in to confirm teams competing. Failure to do so might result in your team being eliminated.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations please visit the event on Robotevents.com where I will post updates about the event status as necessary. If cancelled, the event will NOT be rescheduled.

Refund and Payment Policies

No refunds will be given for cancellations after 11/3/18. Refunds if approved will be processed within 1 month following the event.  Refunds will be for $5 less than registration to pay for the Team Registration fees imposed by RECF.

Payments are expected when you register for the event and must be completed/received TWO weeks prior to the event date. Failure to pay by 11/3/2018 will result in teams being moved to the waiting list allowing other teams from the wait list to take those spots.

Parking

For the competition, the pits and the competition fields are in Clowes Commons. This is #10 on the map below:

Webcast

At this time we will not be live streaming the event.

Accessibility & Parking

Restrooms, Skills Field, Practice Field and concessions are not on the same level as the competition fields and the pit area and there is no elevator. Outdoor ramps are available, but might be an issue depending on weather conditions.

For the competition, the pits and the competition fields are in Clowes Commons. This is #10 on the map that can be found under Document and Images.

Concessions

Concessions will be open when you arrive Saturday morning with coffee, hot chocolate and donuts. For lunch will be offering Jet’s Pizza by the slice. Drinks and other snacks will be available throughout the day. Our 6842 teams are financed by dues and money raised at our events. Please help support our team by not bringing in outside food.

Wait List

There is a two team per school limit and if you wish to register more than two teams please add them to the waiting list. The team restriction will be removed three weeks prior to the tournament giving teams with the wish to send more than two teams three weeks to get registered and payments processed.
