General Info
Take a trip to the central Southern Tier of New York and compete with teams from around the state. The 3rd Annual Elmira Express VEX Challenge, hosted by the Express Robotics club of Elmira High School is sure to be a great day for all teams. Last year we had 36 teams from schools from all over New York State and Pennsylvania, so register early because this event will fill up. Matches will be played in our 10,000 square foot gym, so there will be plenty of room for all of our teams and robots. We will have a full concession stand open throughout the day, with possible local lunch specials available. For more information, please contact Event Organizer Nate Smith at nsmith@elmiracityschools.com.
Additional Info:
Fields: There will be 2 competition fields, 1 practice field, and 1 skills/practice field. This will allow ample space to practice and skills will run for most of the day.
Pits: Teams will have a 6-8 foot table with at least 4 chairs. All tables will have close access to a power strip.
Judging: Judging will be ongoing throughout the qualification round.
Concessions: Will include breakfast items, juice, water, pop, chips, candy bars, and cookies. Lunch items will include Walking Tacos, Hot Dogs, Chili dogs, Meatball Subs, and Mac and Cheese
