Refund Policy

No refunds will be provided after Janaury 14, 2017. Any refunds prior to this date will be mailed by check minus a 10% administratvie fee.  Refunds are provided for any reason.  Cancellations or no shows after the date above will not receive a refund.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

NOVA SySTEMic Solutions may choose to cancel this event for inclement whether.  We may be affected if the weather comes on the setup day or day of.  Please check for updated information on robotevents and our NOVAsystemic Facebook page.

In case of cancellation, refunds will be processed and mailed back to teams minus a 10% non-refundable fee. This fee is due to administrative costs automatically deducted by the REC Foundation and NOVA.

Volunteer

It takes about 50 volunteers to help make the VEX Robotics Competition a fun, exciting and safe learning experience for hundreds of students. Volunteers are needed to help make this event a success. Judges, Referees, general assistance, computer operators are the biggest needs. No experience is necessary to volunteer. Training will be provided on the day of the event.

Volunteers need to use our online signup page to register and identify any team that they are associated with. Online signup will be available here.

MIddle School Tournament – 25 Teams (1 Field) - 5 qualifying matches each

7:00 am – 9:00 am          Team Arrival and Check-in (teams must check in by 9 am)

7:30 am – 9:15 am          Inspection and Practice

9:15 am – 9:50 am          Opening Ceremony and Drivers meeting

10:00 am – 12:30 pm      Qualification Matches and Skills Field Open (skills closes at 2:00 pm)

12:30 pm – 1:15 pm        Lunch Break

1:15 pm – 2:20 pm          Qualification Matches

2:30 pm – 3:00 pm          Alliance Selection

3:15 pm – 4:30 pm          Elimination Rounds and Awards

General Info

This is a VEX Robotics Competiton (VRC) tournament that will qualify teams for the Middle School VRC State Championship.  The tournanment will begin in the morning and run until the early evening.  Practices, Skills Challenges and Inspection will be available from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. Qualification matches will begin at 11 pm in the gymnasium.
