General Info

Welcome to the Great Planes Signature Event 2025!

We are looking forward to hosting you all at the inagural Great Planes Signature Event!

Registration Fee: All teams must have the registration fee paid prior to attending the Great Planes Signature Event. Payment is due by June 20th for teams registering within the Early Bird period and due at the time of registration for teams registering within the standard registration period. Teams will be moved to the waitlist until payment is submitted unless otherwise agreed upon between the coach and EP.

Museum Admissions: Students and spectators will get into SAC Museum for free to attend the Great Planes Signature Event!

Museum Exhibits: SAC Museum has plenty of awe inspiring exhibits! Closer to the event information will be shared about simulator rides, planetarium shows, VR experiences and drone soccer!

Competition Preparation: Teams should come prepared to compete.  Review the Push Back Game Manual, run through the Robot Inspection Checklist, and ensure your team is running the latest programming and firmware version and your Robot Brain has your team number.  We will be using the Smart Field Control.

Please note: We will be following an all in-person judging format.  Only physical copies of engineering notebooks will be collected during team check-in.  Teams who have digital notebooks will need to print off the most recent version for judges to review.  Judge interviews will take place in-person at the team's booth in the pit area.

Participation and Consent Form: All team members, coaches and adult mentors should fill out the online consent form which is good all season and for all RECF run events.  A link to the instructions for online consent form can be found here

Lunch & Concessions: Lunch and Concessions information will be available soon.

Elimination Matches: There will be 16 Elimination Alliances (32 Teams).  For elimination matches, per the Push Back Game Manual, "Elimination Matches are 'Best of 1' from the Round of 16 up through the Semifinals Matches.  The Finals Matches are played as 'Best of 3'".

The Great Planes Signature Event will offer three spots to the 2026 VEX Robotics World Championships in St. Louis, Missouri:*

  • Excellence Award (1)
  • Tournament Champions (2)
