Welcome to the Northeast Wisconsin Showdown

We are excited to again host a V5RC Signature Event in Wisconsin at historic Lambeau Field in the Atrium.  This event will be one to remember!

Event Judging

Judging will be in-person at the event. Per RECF guidelines, teams need a physical notebook for in-person judging. If they have been creating and maintaining it digitally, then they should print out a hard copy.

Venue Details

Parking and Entrance

Park in Lot 4 and enter the American Family Insurance Gate. See Documents section for map. Parking is free.

Please note: be prepared to carry all items through the entry doors - no wheeled carts are allowed to be rolled through the doorways.

Food at Event

1919 Kitchen and Tap is a restaurant inside the venue and will have in-restaurant service as well as take out ordering available.

Carry-ins ARE allowed, but participants that will be carrying in food will need to fill out an additional form agreeing to venue terms and conditions.

Lambeau Field Tours

We are excited to be hosting this event at historic Lambeau Field in the Atrium. Lambeau Field is a world-class sports facility that is rich with history and is a destination for people across the globe. As part of this event, individuals may sign up for guided tours of Lambeau Field on Thursday before the competition begins.

Welcome to Lambeau Field and thank you for participating in the Northeast Wisconsin VRC Showdown! As part of your experience while in the area, I invite you and your teams to experience Lambeau Field with a tour of the stadium and visit to the Hall of Fame! If you wish to take a tour, please let me know in advance so I can assist with timing and making sure we have availability. I will provide special pricing for the participating teams of $11 per person for a classic tour and $20 per person for a classic tour and hall of fame combo. This pricing is only valid when booked through me and in advance.

Northeast Wisconsin Showdown Signature Event

Team pits will be arranged in "pods" with 12 teams sharing an area with a practice/skills field. Teams will be just feet away from their practice field.

Skills Challenge Matches

Teams will have multiple opportunities to run Skills Challenge Matches thorughout the event. We will have dedicated skills competition fields setup close to the competition area. We will also have dedicated time to run skills challenge matches at the competition fields on the 2nd day of the event. We also will have roaming skills refs that will allow teams to run a skills match at their pit practice field if they choose.

Registration Fee

Registration fee must be paid within two weeks of registration. Teams registering less than two weeks before the registration deadline must pay at time of registration. Any teams that fail to pay the registration within these guidelines will be moved to the waitlist and the spot will be opened up to other teams.

This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

  • Teams arriving during setup time will be asked to volunteer with event setup before they are allowed to practice on the practice fields.

Volunteer

We will need many volunteers to make this event a success. Volunteers will receive an event shirt and refreshments and all-day volunteers will receive a meal.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Northeast Wisconsin can have widely varying weather in the winter months. Teams should consider the impact weather may have on travel and accomodation plans. The event will only be cancelled in the most extreme of circumstances. Check back here for updates.

Refund and Payment Policies

Registration fee must be paid within two weeks of registration. Teams that are added to the event from the waitlist are asked to pay for the event within 1 week. Teams registering less than two weeks before the registration deadline must pay at time of registration.

Any teams that fail to pay the registration within these guidelines will be moved to the waitlist and the spot will be opened up to other teams.

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Teams will receive a refund of the registration fee.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Registration fees are non-refundable.

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.

Payment

Registration fee must be paid within two weeks of registration. Teams registering less than two weeks before the registration deadline must pay at time of registration. Any teams that fail to pay the registration within these guidelines will be moved to the waitlist and the spot will be opened up to other teams. 

Signature Event Early Bird Policy

  • All Signature Events will have a specific Early Bird Registration that is independent of all local/regional Early Bird systems
    • Each team starts the season with three (3) opportunities to register during the Signature Event Early-Bird period
      • An opportunity is taken away each time the team registers for a Signature Event, whether during the Signature Event Early-Bird period or Standard period
      • A Signature Event Early-Bird opportunity is not taken away if a team registers for a tournament hosted by their school or organization (where the team’s coach is the Event Partner)
    • Early Bird Registration will open 16 weeks before the event at 12:00PM EST
      • Note: Modifications to this may be made for events in August and September
    • Standard Registration will open 14 weeks before the event at 12:00PM EST
    • An Event Partner may register their own teams to their Signature Event during Signature Event Early Bird Registration no matter how many other Signature Events they are already registered for  
      • The Event Partner must be the Primary Contact for the teams they are registering
