General Info

Hello everyone,

Welcome to the 3rd Annual Buckhall Bash, hosted by Enginotic 6 Robotics, with support from the Buckhall Volunteer Fire Department and NOVA SySTEMic. We are excited to see all the teams come and participate in friendly collaboration and scrimmages.

This event is intended for teams who have qualified for the 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship to practice and scrimmage against other teams in preparation for Worlds. As such, we are only open to teams that have qualified for the World Championship.

Registration

For teams that are qualified to the World Championship and want to attend, please add yourself to the waitlist. This is our mechanism to ensure that we only have teams that have made worlds, due to limited space. Once you add yourself to the waitlist, please email [email protected], so I can add you to the event.

Setup

Setup for the event will be the Friday before the event, April 11, starting at 6 PM. We appreciate anyone who is able to come and help set up the fields for the event.

Fields

We will have two fields setup with the V5 Smart Field Control, allowing everyone to get more practice with the field control before the World Championship. This is the exact same field control system used at Worlds, and we want to give everyone more time to get familiar with it. Additionally, we will be having scheduled and structured matches with all the teams at the event. This scrimmage will have MS and HS teams, so matches will be a blend of both. Additionally, we will have practice fields available for teams to use.

Rules:

The Buckhall Volunteer Fire Department has very graciously offered to host this event at no cost to any participants, however use of the Hall space does come with a few restrictions.

  1. Guests at the event are not permitted anywhere within the Fire Station except for the Hall space. "Do Not Enter" and "Emergency Exit Only" signs will be posted on doors that will be unlocked for safety reasons, but should not be opened by guests. Bathrooms and water fountains for the event are both directly attached to the Hall and will not involve accessing closed areas.
  2. Adults are expected to be present with students throughout the event. While we have a handful of volunteers to act as additional adult supervision it is expected that teams will have at least an adult present at all times.
  3. Powertools are permitted, so long as proper safety equipment is worn (Safety glasses, ect) and there is no damage done to the space.

Should any issues arise during the event Matthew Reichley is the BVFD representitive for the event and will be able to direct or assist as necessary.

Food:

Concessions will be available to purchase in the hall with proceeds helping support Enginotic6 in hosting more events next season.

Additionally, outside food and drink is permitted within the hall for anyone who wishes to bring lunch or snacks as a for their team.

Thank you, and we can't wait to see you at the scrimmage!
