General Info

This is the Delmarva Region High School Championship! Teams must qualify and be invited to this event based on this year's qualification criteria.

We cannot run events without dozens of volunteers.  We respectfully request that every team attending the event provides AT LEAST one full-day volunteer to ensure the event runs smoothly.  Find out more on the ‘Volunteer’ tab.

Please be sure to read all of the event information contained on the Robot Events page.  Some important highlights:

  • All teams participating in this event are expected to follow the RECF Student Centered Policy (https://vrc-kb.recf.org/hc/en-us/articles/9654578622487-Student-Centered-Policy) - NO adult designed, built, or programmed robots.  Teams found to be violating the student-centered policy will be submitted to RECF for review and the outcome of that review may impact ability to participate in future events.
  • There will be a snack bar with breakfast and lunch items, drinks and snacks.  We will send out whole pizza pre-order information as we get closer to the event.
  • We ask for you to make payment at the time of the event registration.  Teams not paid one week prior to the event will be moved to the wait list and risk not having a spot in the competition.
  • Teams canceling prior to the registration closure date and notifying the event partner via email by the registration closure date will receive a full refund.
  • Registered teams that are a no-show for the event are still responsible for payment of event registration fees, and will be expected to pay event entry fees at the time of registration for any future events.

This event will use V5 Smart Field Controllers. Teams must be sure to associate their team number with their brain, and updated to the latest V5 firmware using VEXCode.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.
