What to Expect:
Welcome to Red Dirt Push Back! Get ready for a day of intense robotics competition in the spacious Expo Center at the Canadian County Fairgrounds. Doors open at 7:30 am, so arrive early with your bots battle-ready and your engineering notebooks polished. Notebooks must be submitted by 9:00 am sharp!
Game Challenge: Push Back! This year’s game is all about strategy, precision, and power. Teams will design, build, and program their robots to take on the brand-new “Push Back!” challenge head-on.
Electric Atmosphere: Join teams from across the region in a high-energy environment filled with innovation and team spirit. Whether you're a veteran team or making your debut, Red Dirt Push Back! is sure to deliver excitement and learning.
Concessions: Stay fueled with onsite concessions and a variety of food trucks. El Reno also offers nearby fast food options if you're stepping out for a quick bite.
Skills Challenge: Take your robot to the next level with the skills challenge—perfect for showcasing autonomous and driver-controlled abilities.
More Than Just Competition: This tournament is a celebration of robotics, creativity, and teamwork. Come prepared to learn, connect, and most importantly—have a great time!

7:00 AM – 8:00 AM: Venue Setup

Staff and Volunteers Arrive: Begin setup of competition fields, pit areas, registration tables, and seating.

Teams Arrive: Teams may begin unloading and preparing their pit stations.
8:00 AM – 8:30 AM: Team Check-In and Robot Inspection

Check-In: Teams register and collect event materials.

Robot Inspection: Officials verify that all robots meet VRC size and rule requirements. Inspection is mandatory to compete.
8:30 AM – 8:45 AM: Opening Ceremony

- Scorekeeping: Manage scoring systems and help maintain accurate results.
- Team Queuing: Organize and direct teams to their matches, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Registration: Welcome participants, handle check-ins, and provide event information.

In case of bad weather conditions or possible cancellations please visit the event on Robotevents.com where updates will be posted about the event status as needed. Please feel free to contact me by email ( [email protected] ) if you are going to be late to the event.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refunds are unavailable as the district is still required to pay for the venue.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: No refunds will be available, but the registration can be transferred to another team that has not paid.
Judging Format
All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
