General Info

Eastwood High School Robotics is excited to host our Blended (HS/MS) VRC5 High Stakes Qualifier 2. This tournament is sponsored by Eastwood High School and run by the Eastwood Robotics team.
Only three Drive Team tags will be provided to each team. Only students with drive team tags are permitted at staging, the competition fields, and the skills field.  

We will have a full VEX Tournament featuring three competition fields, a skills field, and a practice field.

There are currently  32 slots for this tournament, and a maximum of 5 teams per organization are allowed. Make sure that you are marked as paid (or PO received) two weeks in advance or you may be replaced with a team from the waitlist.

Check in will be at 7:30 am, sharp. Teams must be checked in 60 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event.
Teams must be paid by February 5th, 2025. Teams not paid at this time will be moved to the waiting list

Notebooks will have to submitted in the Digital Notebook format by January 24, 2025.
Only students and coaches are allowed in the pit areas.

Judging Format: In person, with interviews in person and digital Engineering Notebooks.

There will be a concessions stand accepting CASH only. Prices will be affordable, staring from $0.50

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

If the event must be canceled due to bad weather, it will be rescheduled for the next acceptable date.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event, Teams will be given a choice of moving to another event sponsored by the Event Partner, or a refund minus $5 will be provided.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend, There is no refund. However, the event partner will do their best to accommodate moving the team to another event they are hosting. Event Partner will only allow for one date change.
 

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Digital Engineering Notebooks must be uploaded by January 24, 2025, at 12:00 pm
