General Info

Eastwood HS Robotics is happy to host our 1st VEX Robotics High Stakes V5 Tournament of this season.

We will have an entire VEX Tournament featuring two competition fields, a skills field, and a practice field.

There are 24 slots for this tournament, and a maximum of 4 teams per organization are allowed. Make sure you are marked as paid (or PO received) two weeks in advance, or you may be replaced with a team from the waitlist.

Check in will be at 7:30 am, sharp. Teams must be checked in 60 minutes prior to the start of the qualification matches so that the match schedule may be printed. Teams must contact the event partner if they are running late or they will be removed from the team list for the event.

Teams must be paid by January 2nd, 2025. Teams not paid at this time will be moved to the waiting list.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

This is a tentative agenda, and Eastwood Robotics reserves the right to modify it as needed for a successful and on-time event. 

7:30 AM             Doors, pits, and practice fields open; Check-In begins & Inspection begins.

8:00 AM             Opening Ceremony/ Event Announcements/Drivers Meeting. Skills open.

8:30 AM             Qualification matches begin

11:30 PM           Working lunch

1:00 PM             Qualification matches and skills conclude

1:30 PM             Alliance selection begins

3:30 PM              Awards

Students from your teams that are not in the drive team are welcome to help volunteering.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

 

If the event must be canceled due to bad weather, it will be rescheduled for the next acceptable date.

No refunds.

No team swaps two weeks before the event.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event, Teams will be given a choice of moving to another event sponsored by the Event Partner, or a refund minus $5 will be provided.

 

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event and then chooses to withdraw or not attend, There is no refund. However, the event partner will do their best to accommodate moving the team to another event they are hosting. Event Partner will only allow for one date change.
