The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Volunteer
Volunteer Coordinator: Robert Lee
Experience Level: No Previous experience is needed for most volunteer positions.
Time Commitment: You can register for an entire day, or just a portion of the day as your schedule permits for most positions.
Meals: Hospitality area provided for all volunteers.
Volunteer Positions Needed:
- Judges for Design Award (All Day Commitment, no previous experience required 8:00 am to 2:00 pm)
- Skills Field Administrator (Adult)
- Head Referee (Adult)
- Referees (Adults)
- Field Attendees (anyone)
Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
The event may be rescheduled in case of emergency/bad weather. Coaches will be contacted if issues arise
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels the event:
Refunds will be sent out around 6 weeks from the event that cancel in due time.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
Refunds will not be given to teams canceling less than two weeks before the competition. Refunds will be sent out around 6 weeks from the event that cancel in due time. If teams registered and paid through robotevents we must receive the funds from robotevents first, this sometimes takes 3-6 months. Refund from robotevents will deduct 10%.

All must follow state and district guidelines.

Judging Format

- Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.
