Volunteer

Event volunteers are the heart and soul of VEX competitions. We rely on Referees to keep things fair, Emcees to keep things exciting, and Queuers to keep things on schedule! Volunteering at a VEX competition is easy to learn, fun to do, and rewarding for everyone involved.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

We will communicate by email if something should prevent us from hosting the event.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: Refuned will be provided in the event the competition is cancelled. Contact Adam Billman to request the money back.

 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend: It is up to the Event Partner if a refund will be provided in this case. Any cancellation two weeks before event will recieve no refund!

The Payment Deadline for this event is 11/22- teams not paid by that date may be moved to the waitlist to allow another team to attend.

Health and Safety Policies

All participants are responsible for keeping a safe environment. This means:

  • Ensure the area is kept clean and tools and robots are not left lying around
  • Costumes are safe to wear while in a robotics competition

Judging Format

All In-Person Judging - The Team Interviews and Engineering Notebooks will be judged in-person the day of the event. Teams should bring a physical copy of their notebook to submit to the judges.
