General Info

The Sandy Robotics Tournament is hosted by the Sandy Robotics Club at Sandy High School.  The event is being held in the upper commons of Sandy High School.

After passing inspection teams will participate in Qualifying Rounds, Alliance Selection and Elimination Rounds. There will also be a field open for Skills Challenge runs. Teams will be limited to three Driving and three Programming Skills Challenge runs.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

This event will be cancelled if the School District advises against school-related travel by 3:00pm the day before the event.  If cancelled, participants will be notified via email to the address provided in your registration. Best attempt will be made to reschedule if possible before season ends.

If the event is cancelled and we are not able to reschedule the event we will refund your tournament fee.

Refund and Payment Policies

Refunds will be made on a case by case bases.

If event is cancelled due to bad weather or changes in policy teams will be refunded.

 

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Notebooks are due by 5pm Jan 4, 2025.
