Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

• 12:00 PM: Lunch Break

Afternoon Session (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM)

• 1:00 PM: Qualifying Matches
• 2:30 PM: Break
• 3:00 PM: Final Rounds (Semifinals and Finals)
• 4:00 PM: Awards Ceremony and Closing Remarks

As a volunteer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the event runs smoothly. Your support may include:

• Helping with event setup and teardown
• Assisting as a referee during matches
• Providing technical assistance to teams
• Supporting scoring and data entry

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of an emergency or severe weather, the following procedures will be in effect:

Cancellation

• Severe Weather: If local authorities issue a severe weather warning, or if conditions present a safety risk, the scrimmage may be canceled or postponed.
• Emergency Situations: In the case of emergencies such as power outages or natural disasters, the scrimmage may also be canceled or postponed.

Postponement

• Rescheduling: Should the scrimmage be postponed, we will do our best to reschedule the event as soon as possible.
• Communication: Any changes will be communicated to participants via email and other available channels.

Safety Protocols

• Evacuation Plan: We have a clear emergency evacuation plan. In the event of an emergency, all participants will be directed to a safe location.
• First Aid: First aid kits will be available on-site. For any medical emergencies, please notify a staff member immediately.

Please stay informed by checking local weather forecasts and adhere to the instructions provided by event organizers.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

all registered participants will receive a full refund of their registration fees. Refunds will be processed within 5 business days following the cancellation announcement.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

• Before the Registration Deadline: Coaches/Mentors who withdraw before the registration deadline are eligible for a full refund of their registration fees.
• After the Registration Deadline: Coaches/Mentors who withdraw after the registration deadline will not be eligible for a refund unless extenuating circumstances apply. In such cases, please contact the event organizers to discuss refund options.

Refund Requests:
All refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] within one day of the event cancellation or withdrawal.
