General Info

Triangle Robotics League (TRL) is a scrimmage league for triangle-area V5RC teams. We plan to have an open practice and 2 scrimmage sessions.

This is not a qualifying tournament, so there will be no judging and no awards that qualify for the state championship. We do plan to request RECF to recognize skill scores as official.

Registration Fee Is Optional: Registration fees will support TRL activities, but we are not requiring teams to pay in order to participate in scrimmage sessions. Teams can register for the event and select the Pay Later option.

This is a 100% volunteer-run event. We ask that all registered teams provide a volunteer for at least one session, such as setup, cleanup, field reset, team queuer etc.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Agenda

TRL Sessions 1 and 2, 4:00-7:30pm

4:00pm - Doors open,
4:30pm - Check-in and Inspections open, skills open for registered teams
5:30pm - Check-in and Inspections closed
5:45pm - Ranking matches begin
Ranking matches should take 1-2 hours depending on # of teams present

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

Registered coaches will be notifified in case of event cancellation via email.

Rescheduling will be on a case-by case basis.

Refund and Payment Policies

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds will be issued to teams that cancel before the registreation deadline.

If the Event Partner cancels the event:

If the event is cancelled before the registration deadline, refunds will be provided. TRL operates under a 501c3 non-profit. Most event costs need to be paid well in advance of the event. If TRL is cancelled after November 1st and not rescheduled due to weather or unforseen circumstances, no refunds will be given.
