General Info

Purdue SIGBots is excited to host the Purdue SIGBots Winter Qualifying Tournament! We will be hosting the competition at the Purdue Armory. This will be the 5th VRC tournament for the SIGBots. We have a long history of the most competitive VexU competitions in the world and are working to bring that to VRC. For this event, we are returning to The Armory on the Purdue Campus which has been the location for three of our previous events. This is close to free parking and has a great open space for this large event.

Purdue's VexU Team, ACM SIGBots, will be in attendance and welcomes all teams who are coming to have fun and compete. They will also be ready to answer any technical questions teams may have with VEX hardware and/or PROS.

Whether you are a new team or veteran team, we welcome you to join us!

Thank you to all teams in attendance for helping to support the Purdue ACM SIGBots.

Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Refund and Payment Policies

Event payments are expected to be paid when you register for the event and must be completed prior to December 28 at 11:59PM. Teams that have not paid will be moved to the waitlist to allow teams on the wait list to register. Please contact us if there are considerations to be made.

If the Event Partner cancels the event:

All refunds will be repaid (without fees taken by RECF. We apologize, but these checks will be written from a student’s personal bank account & slowly reimbursed to the student over several months so we have no other option) with checks sent out within 1 month of the cancellation.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

All requests for refunds must be made 4 weeks prior to the event. Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 1 month following the event.

Health and Safety Policies

Please refer to Protect Purdue Policies: https://protect.purdue.edu/

TL;DR - Personal health safety is recommended (common hygiene), masks/vaccines are recommended but not required and all incidents will be reported to Purdue.
