Code of Conduct

The REC Foundation considers the positive, respectful, and ethical conduct of teams to be an essential component of the competition. Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

For more details, please refer to the REC Foundation Code of Conduct and Student-Centered Policy. If you have concerns about compliance with the Code of Conduct, please speak to the Event Partner during the event.

Any award that will qualify a team for the VEX World Championship will be presented at the conclusion of the Elimination Matches

Volunteer

Volunteers are what make VEX events happen.  Our biggest need for each event are judges, and no experience is needed.  Volunteers receive an event shirt, lunch, and snacks throughout the day.  Contact the Marcus Edwards at [email protected] or Gye Kramer at [email protected] if you would lke to volunteer. 

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

All cancellations will be communicated through email. Please check your email the day before and the morning of the tournament (before leaving).

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

Refund only exception will be with a cancelation and no rescheduling of the event. 

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

No refunds

Judging Format

Please review the following Judging Format options and keep the ones that apply to your event, and delete the others that do not apply. Please see the Remote Judging section of the Guide to Judging for more information.

•  Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation  via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. A submission deadline that may be scheduled ahead of the event date.

Lunch and Concessions

Concessions and Lunch Pre-orders will be made available by the Farmersville Engineering Booster Club

Lunch Pre-orders will be available approximately 2 weeks before the event.
