General Info
The VRC High School State Championship is a two day event at the Potomac School in McLean, VA. Teams must qualify for the tournament by participating in a regional event by March 1, 2025. Teams qualify by winning awards at a local tournament or by invitation based on the highest skills scores posted in Virginia during the season.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy
We will update any cancellations on the RobotEvents page and via email. In the event of bad weather we will attempt to modify the event to fit within this weekend. In the event of a complete cancellation details will be emailed to teams on how to proceed.
Refund and Payment Policies
If the Event Partner cancels/postpones the event:
- We will issue partial refunds to teams who cannot attend the alternate date.
If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:
- Partial refunds of $270 will be issued up to February 16, 2025. Any teams cancelling beyond this date or not showing for the event will not receive a refund.
Teams that do not pay will not be allowed to participate.
Webcast
Judging Format
Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Engineering Notebooks (EN) will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the “My Account” panel of the team contact on RobotEvents. Teams that qualify for States must submit their ENs by 11:59pm on Friday, March 7, 2025. Team interviews will be conducted in person during the event.
