General Info

Welcome to the first Overclock Regional Qualifier!

Location:

37-02 Main Street, Floor 4, Suite 212
Flushing, NY 11354

Parking:

Parking spots on 37th Ave outside the venue should typically be available in the morning. As the event is on a Sunday, all city parking will be free. For those who can not find parking spots, there will be many nearby private parking spaces around the venue. 

Drop Off:

Please drop off any equipment on 37th Ave and enter through the Main Street entrance. Volunteers will guide incoming teams to their pits.

Competition Fields:

All competitions fields will be raised 24" from the ground. Skills/practice field will be on the floor. All fields will be utilizing Smart Field Controllers.

Lunch:

On-site food will not be provided for teams, however there are hundreds of options for dining along the historic Main St.

Spectators:

Due to the nature of our small event space, spectators will be asked to watch the event from the pits. Every pit room will have a low-latency livestream of the event.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to operate as student-centered teams with limited adult assistance. This includes all students, teachers, coaches, mentors, parents, and spectators associated with a team.

Emergency/Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather, the event may be postponed to another date. If we are unable to run the event, we will refund all registration costs.

Refund and Payment Policies

If the Event Partner cancels the event: 

All teams will be refunded.

If a Coach/Mentor completes registration for the event then chooses to withdraw or not attend:

Refunds will only be issued to teams requesting registration cancellation at least 2 WEEKS before the event AND if the spot is filled with another team.

Please note: all refunds will be less the $5.00 fee retained by RECF.

Judging Format

Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews:

Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks must be submitted digitally for evaluation found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact on RobotEvents.
